Delta continue to block middle seats on flights

Delts has extended its block on middle seats and its cap on seats sold per flight through the end of September

When booking seats, all middle seats on Delta aircraft will continue to be unassignable, and in addition, will continue to block some aisle seats in regional aircraft with 2-by-2 seating configurations.

They are also adopting other measures to expand distancing measures, including requiring all passengers to wear face masks. These new policies will allow customers peace of mind and enjoy their flight at a social distance.

Limiting capacity

Delta is also limiting its capacity to 50% in first class on single-aisle jets and 60% in the main cabin of all aircraft. There will also be a 60% limit in its widebody premium economy cabin, Delta Premium Select and 75% in its widebody business class cabin, Delta One.

“Reducing the overall number of customers on every aircraft across the fleet is one of the most important steps we can take to ensure a safe experience for our customers and people,” Delta chief customer experience officer Bill Lentsch said in a prepared statement.
